The Law of the Republic of Moldova of 22.12.2006 No. 420 "On Technical Regulation" establishes general requirements for the content and procedure for the development, publication and application of technical regulations.
Technical regulations are developed taking into account the harmonization of national legislation with EU and international legislation. The technical regulations of Moldova can be found at: http://estandard.md/Regulation/RegulationSearch.
The catalog of Moldova's standards is available at: http://estandard.md/.
For areas in which there is harmonized European Union legislation (New Approach Directives), national technical regulations are based on this legislation.
After the entry into force of the Law of 22.12.2006 no. 420 "On technical regulation" the list of goods subject to mandatory conformity assessment in Moldova is not applied.
Product safety, which is not covered by the technical regulations of Moldova, is regulated within the framework of the Law “On General Product Safety”.
