The legislator determines the list of objects of certification of light industry, as well as the procedure for obtaining permits for it. So for a certain category of goods, it is necessary to obtain a certificate, expert permission from the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Services Supervision, declarations, conclusions of sanitary and epidemiological, hygienic, or certificates of state. registration rights.
Among the sets of rules that directly guide participants in the process of certification of light industry goods, includes Technical Regulations with the registration number 017/2011, which regulates the security of such commodity units: textiles, clothing manufacturing, knitwear, clothing. Carpet, haberdashery, leather haberdashery, felt, felt, leather products, shoes and furs. Standards No. 876 TR are fixed by the Decision of the CU Commission in the current edition of 20.11. 2012.

Within the framework of the Technical Regulations, a general procedure is specified for manufacturers, sellers or authorized persons at the time of accepting the approved type declaration of conformity for goods originating from light industry. Also, the TC Commission approved the unified labeling requirements for certification objects that are part of the classification - light industry. On the territorial scale of the Customs Union, such products must have a corresponding mark confirming the validity of the goods turnover.

It should be noted that the above declaration certifying compliance with all the requirements of the TS CU of the goods produced is subject to the official registration procedure in the schedule governed by the CU Commission.

Taking into account the relevant schemes, certification of goods of light industry with the subsequent issuance of certificates according to the TP is carried out for such product groups as underwear, for bathing, corsetry, hosiery types of products, for bed linen. That is, it is necessary to purchase a certificate of conformity for these certification objects.
