It confirms that the product complies with the applicable TR TS / TR CU / TR EAEU (EAEU Technical Regulations) and has passed the required conformity assessment (EAC CoC Certificate of Conformity or EAC DoC Declaration of Conformity), registered in the FGIS database. The EAC mark itself is not a certificate. It is the visible symbol showing the product has valid underlying CoC / DoC.

Definition

EAC (Eurasian Conformity) is the mandatory single conformity mark for products placed on the market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU): Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan.

Graphic & technical requirements of the EAC symbol

  • Symbol: three capital letters E, A, C with equal height and width, square-proportioned geometric design

  • Minimum height: 5 mm; larger size is allowed

  • Single solid colour, strong contrast with the product/packaging background

  • Clear, non-distorted shape; must not overlap or mix confusingly with other marks (CE, manufacturer logo)

  • Permanent and indelible marking, readable during the product’s service life

Permitted marking methods

  • Laser marking, engraving, embossing, casting/moulding into the product body

  • Silk screen printing, durable waterproof adhesive labels

Easily removable temporary stickers are generally not accepted for long-life equipment.

Where to affix the EAC mark (priority order)

  1. Directly on the product body / permanent label (preferred)

  2. If impossible on the product: on the smallest consumer packaging

  3. Exception: Only when marking on product or packaging is technically impossible (per specific TR TS), the EAC mark may be placed only in accompanying operational documentation.

Core legal rule

✅ You can affix the EAC mark ONLY after your CoC or DoC is fully registered in FGIS.

❌ Applying EAC before registration is an offence: customs detention, goods seizure, fines and marketplace delisting (Wildberries / Ozon).

Products that need the EAC mark

Products covered by one or more EAEU Technical Regulations (TR TS / TR EAEU) must carry EAC marking.

  • High-risk goods → EAC CoC required, then apply EAC mark

  • Medium/low-risk goods → EAC DoC required, then apply EAC mark

Products outside the scope of all TR TS do not need EAC marking.

Mandatory label information together with EAC mark

The EAC symbol is just one element of the full product label. The label must also contain (mostly in Russian):

  • Product name, model, serial / batch number

  • Manufacturer data + EAEU Authorised Representative name and address

  • Country of origin

  • Rated technical parameters

  • Production date

  • Safety warnings

For products under EAC CoC: many TR TS require adding the identification number of the notified certification body next to the EAC logo.

Key notes

  1. Once EAC is obtained, goods can circulate freely in all five EAEU member states, no separate national conformity marking required.

  2. The EAC mark does not replace other separate permits: SGR state registration, fire licence, RZN medical registration, etc. These may apply alongside EAC.

  3. If product design, materials or specifications change, you must re-assess conformity and may need to re-register CoC/DoC before continuing to use the EAC mark.
