State activities aimed at confirming and verifying the quality (declared by the manufacturer) characteristics, special properties of goods to established standards, or certification is carried out in order to ensure optimal working conditions for organizations in the single global commodity market of the Russian Federation. This procedure implies a mandatory (voluntary) receipt of a certificate for a product that protects the consumer from unfair production of products by the contractor and allows:
• make a competent choice of products. The certificate for the product obtained by the manufacturer gives the consumer the opportunity to make a choice of quality products;
• conduct safety monitoring of manufactured products. Due to the certification procedure, the consumer receives high-quality products that do not affect the environment, property, human life and health;
• enterprises of the Russian Federation to participate in international trade and cooperation. Owning a certificate for the product, the contractor proves to the international community that the quality criteria he has declared are officially confirmed.
Thus, the procedure for obtaining a certificate for the goods, prevents the appearance of unsafe products for human health.
Product categories requiring mandatory certification
At this point in time in the Russian Federation there is the following range of products for which a certificate for the goods is strictly required:
• food products. Any products (natural, recycled), used by humans for food must have a certificate for the goods, certifying their safety and quality. This category includes: BIO additives, beverages (carbonated, mineral), alcoholic beverages, diet food and other;
